I am fortunate enough to treat foot and ankle patients with procedures that are often immediately rewarding and greatly improve their quality of life.
Helping people return to their normal level of activity is an extremely rewarding experience.
My mission is to deliver patient care with integrity and compassion. Helping patients recapture their quality of life is why I chose Orthopaedic Surgery.
I believe that I have a true heart for my patients caring for each one the way I would my own family.

I chose medicine because I wanted to be in a dynamic field that helps to improve people's lives through physical well-being.

Meet Dr. Glen Crawford

In the spring of 2010, Dr. Glen Crawford left Anna Jaques Hospital and his practice in Newburyport to join Sports Medicine Atlantic Orthopaedics – drawn by the outstanding medical resources of his new colleagues and Portsmouth Regional Hospital.

Dr. Crawford specializes in sports medicine, hip and knee replacement and arthroscopy, and both surgical and nonsurgical treatment of arthritis, overuse and workplace injuries. He has been nationally recognized for his decades of philanthropic medical work in Africa.

Sports Medicine Atlantic Orthopedics has offices in both Portsmouth, New Hampshire and York, Maine - with plenty of free parking. Our physicians enjoy full medical staff privileges at both Portsmouth Regional Hospital and York Hospital. Pro-Care, our on-site Physical Therapy practice, is located in our Portsmouth office.

Sports Medicine Atlantic Orthopaedics appointment hours: 8am - 4:15pm, Monday through Friday. Closed on major holidays.
Pro-Care appointment hours: 6:30am - 7pm, Monday through Thursday; 6:30am - 5pm on Fridays

After hours: There is always a physician on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Please call the direct number at 603.431.1121.
